- Classes will take place on Zoom. You will receive a link to join the class 24-36 hours prior to class. Watch for the email and check your spam folder. Requirements for the class:
- A round Wood Insert for the wreath. This is a separate purchase and is required for the class. Purchase it HERE
- A working sewing machine that you know how to use.
To prepare for class you will need to:
- Have any and all necessary notions and supplies ready including thread and full bobbins
- Download the instructions (PDF) from your order history on the website
- Have the wood insert (separate purchase)
This page is to purchase the St Patrick’s Round Wood Clothesline Wreath Virtual Class and instructions
This class is a collaboration between Needle Quirks and Embroidery Garden.
In this class you will learn how to machine sew a round wreath using clothesline and a decorative wooden insert. You will learn how to attach the wooden insert to the clothesline and then construct the wreath using a sewing machine.
Explore different options for adding design elements to the wreath using decorative ribbon, lace, etc. No embroidery designs are included with this class. The lace floral elements and shamrocks are not included in the class. The lace floral elements are from the Garden Flower Lace Collection which is sold separately.
Basic supplies needed for this class include the following
- ● 50′ of 3/16″ or 1/4″ Cotton Clothesline
● Round Wood Insert . You can choose any of the round wood inserts that Caroline sells for this class.
● Sewing Machine with an adjustable zigzag stitch
● All Purpose thread or 40 wt. Polyester Embroidery Thread
● Bobbins filled with matching or contrasting thread
● 90/14 Topstitch Needle
● Zig Zag Presser Foot (J foot on Brother machines) or Satin/Monogram Stitch foot
(N foot on Brother machines)
● A pair of sharp scissors
● 1-2 Wonder Clips or similar product
● Blue Painter’s Tape or similar product
Optional : ribbon, lace, etc. for embellishing
