- Classes will take place on Zoom. You will receive a link to join the class 24-36 hours prior to class. Watch for the email and check your spam folder. It is important to be registered on EmbroideryGarden.com with a valid email address that you check as class information will be sent to the email address we have on record.

Requirements for the class:
- An Oval Wood Insert for the bowl. This is a separate purchase and is required for the class. Purchase one of several options HERE
- A working sewing machine that you know how to use.
To prepare for class you will need to:
- Have any and all necessary notions and supplies ready including thread and full bobbins
- Download the instructions (PDF) from your order history on the website

This class is a collaboration between Needle Quirks and Embroidery Garden.
These instructions will guide you through machine sewing a handmade, rustic oval shaped Bread Bowl With Decorative Wood Base, as well as adding fabric accents and decorative/contrasting stitching, using 100% cotton clothesline, along with ideas for simple embellishments.
Basic supplies needed for this class include the following
100’ of 3/16” or ¼” 100% Structured Cotton Clothesline.
Birch Wood Oval Base – sold separately HERE
Sewing Machine with an adjustable zigzag stitch
Size 90/14 Topstitch or Denim Needle
Zigzag Presser Foot (If you have a Brother machine, it’s the J Foot)
A spool of all-purpose sewing thread to match or coordinate with clothesline (40 wt. Embroidery thread was used in the sample)
Minimum of 2-3 bobbins wound with matching thread (contrasting for decorative stitches)
A pair of sharp scissors
Tape (we used a blue painter’s tape)
Fabric clips
Ruler or tape measure
Stiletto
